Download the best book in Portuguese about the end of the 13th pik or b'aktun and the newest and most complete introduction to Mayanist studies in Brasil.
(with some texts both in Spanish and English from ajq'ijab' and other sources)
This is the major release in Portuguese in Mayanist studies field since Franz Joseph Hochleitner in the 1990's.
He seems to have been the only "Brazilian" Mayanist since now, although he came from Austria in 1948.
This new young scholar and author, Thiago Cavalcanti is an independent Braziian Mayanist,
B.A. candidate in Anthropology at Universidade Federal Fluminense, Brazil.
He has ethnographic experience in Guatemala, Belize, Honduras and El Salvador in Maya sites and ajq'ijab' contemporary and ritual ceremonies,
also identifying a lot of conflicts in Maya resistance,
since the state of Guatemala is selling the Maya patrimony as a new age toy for money.
